This is my lovely couple Crystal & Craig. We are so excited to document their wedding in September. When I was chatting with Crystal (before Craig arrived to our first meeting) her eyes lit up. It became clear to me during their engagement session that Craig is just as smitten. Put it this way….it wasn’t hard to capture them smooching with each other. They are sweet and genuine and most important….perfect for one another. Here are a few words that they have to say…
How did you meet?
Crystal: We met in January 2013 on Eharmony. He was one of my daily matches. It was my daily routine to sit down on the couch every morning with my cup of coffee and review my matches. When I saw Craig’s I thought he had a great profile and in his pictures he looked like a fun guy. We ended up sending many messages back and forth over the course of two weeks. I was home sick with a bad sinus cold then he got sick so we had to keep postponing our first date.
Craig: She was my first and only date.
When you met what was the first thing you noticed about him/her?
Crystal: I came around the corner and saw him sitting on the bench. Our eyes met as he smiled… And my heart skipped a few beats. So his eyes and smile did it for me!
I said that night that this was the guy I was going to marry.
Craig: I first noticed her beautiful smile and her amazing eyes. She looked great from a distance but better up close. We talked for hours but it only felt like minutes. She’s the first person I’ve ever met that I felt comfortable with right away. She must have felt the same way. I got invited back to her place that night.
How did he Propose?
Craig: On a cold snowy evening in May. We spent the weekend in Banff. The weather wasn’t great but I was determined. After a nice dinner out we went up to “Surprise Corner”. I was nervous and I had to carry the ring in its massive box throughout the weekend. The skies cleared, I asked, she said yes and then it started to sprinkle snow again. I guess it’s Mother Nature’s way of celebrating with us.
Crystal: He had been acting a little weird at times that weekend but it wasn’t till after that I realized how difficult I was making it for him to propose when I wasn’t wanting to do stuff!
What do you love about each other?
Crystal: I love that he is so kind and caring. He’s humble and always willing to help someone. He takes such good care of me and makes me laugh. I love the way he looks at me, how he says I love you a million times a day, and how everything with him is just right. I never understood what they meant when they said ” you’ll just know” about “the one”. With Craig, I knew instantly. And then I understood.
Craig; I love everything about her. She’s loving, caring, beautiful, strong and smart. She has made me a happier and better person in so many ways. Even though our busy schedules do not leave much time, I love and always look forward all the moments we spend together.
Favourite hangout?
Crystal: At home just spending time with each other be it on the couch watching a movie, bbqing on the deck, or laughing at the crazy antics of our 3 cats.
Craig: At home. Cuddled in bed, on the couch or out on the deck watching the sunset.
Favourite thing to do together?
Crystal: I love our Sunday morning breakfasts. We started a new fitness program that we do 3 days a week together. Just doing the little things like grocery shopping or errands with him.
Craig: Besides the obvious we like doing everything together. I really enjoy looking into her eyes and holding her close no matter where we are.
What are you looking forward to the most on your big day?
Crystal: Seeing him see me for the first time and having his comforting hand in mine the whole night. He’s my calming presence.
Craig: I can’t wait to see her enter the room and walk that aisle. Her smile will light up the room and she’ll look amazing. She will be the centre of attention and by far the prettiest in the room. This will be our big day. I’ll feel so lucky. It will be the next step in our long life together
