Meet Caitlin & Rob! Mike and I had a great time with them during their session. We can up with ideas and they said let’s go for it! It was raining but did not put a damper on things at all! Nothing was going to stop the love and laughter between these two! Their wedding is just around the corner and WE CAN’T WAIT!! Here are a few juicy words from these lovebirds!

When is the big day?

How did you meet?

We initially met as roommates on the Annual Panorama ski trip in 2009, where we partied in togas to great 80’s tunes on Rob’s iPod. The following year, although we had separate room assignments, we somehow ended up partying together till dawn. We then continued to run into each at social gatherings including a gathering of friends at the local pub, Mustache Pete’s, to watch one of the Olympic Men’s hockey games. As luck would have it, Rob happened to be the roommate of our mutual friend Dustan, who just happened to live 5 minutes away from Caitlin’s new house in Kincora…until one Sunday Rob asked Caitlin to breakfast & the rest is history!

When you met what was the first thing you noticed about him/her?

Caitlin: His brilliant blue eyes. And his shockingly good taste in 80’s tunes.

Rob: Her smile. And an appreciation for her shockingly good knowledge of my 80’s tunes!

How did he Propose?

Rob has a very sweet habit of planning “mystery dates”, and so when he sent me the request for a ‘mystery weekend in AB” on a random weekend in December, I figured we were probably just heading up to Lake Louise for the 2 days. After work on Friday (the 13th), we packed up the car and drove out to Banff. When I asked him where we were staying, he nonchalantly confirmed the Banff park lodge, however, he wasn’t turning off Banff Ave. As we crossed the river I exclaimed “We’re staying at the Springs!?” he just looked over at me and smiled. As we checked into our room, he bent down on one knee and said “Caitlin, I have a question to ask you”. I said “Yes”, teared up and then jumped up and down excitedly! We then spent the weekend together enjoying our time skiing, taking a dip in the hot springs, having fondue at Grizzly House, and he even booked me a massage at the spa.

What do you love about each other?

Caitlin: Rob takes such good care of me and makes me laugh. I love the way he looks at me, how he says I love you a million times a day, and how everything is as easy as breathing when I’m with him.

Rob: I love Caitlin’s zest and enthusiasm for life. She is my ultimate companion and enriches all the activities we do together, whether travelling to exotic places, taking in sporting events, or just resting at home, it’s all just better when I’m with her.

Favourite hangout?

At one of our favourite restaurants, Murrieta’s in Downtown Calgary.

Favourite thing to do together?

Sharing a good meal and good bottle of wine together, whether it’s one we’ve cooked together or spent at one of our favourite restaurants.

What are you looking forward to the most on your big day?

Caitlin: Standing with Rob and saying my vows to him and our first kiss as Mr. & Mrs.

Rob: Celebrating one of the most important moments of my life with the people most important to me.
