Meet Jessica & Ryan’s! I had the pleasure to and out and shoot their engagement session in Vancouver!! They have such cute story of how they met and came to fall in love with each other. I believe in fate and as per their tory below these two were meant to be together. Enjoy their story!

When is the big day?
June 25, 2016

How did you meet?
We met at a campground in Shuswap called “Pierre’s Point” in the summer of 1995 by way of our families noticing their kids having fun together. Throughout the years (only for two weeks out of 365 days) we grew up alongside one another. I was great friends with Ryan’s younger sister for all of these years and still am! But in all that time, we didn’t really KNOW each other. Then one day at the lake in 2011, we caught each other’s eye, sparks flew and we knew we had something special.

When you first met what did you notice first?
Well, when we FIRST met, I was 4 and Ryan was 10, so I don’t think anything was concerning either one of us… But in 2011, we were both instantly attracted to each other and hit it off. That summer was filled with great conversation, rapidly increasing chemistry, the sound of waves and our favourite – thunder storms.

How did he propose?
On a cold, wet, rainy day in November, Ryan proposed in a beautiful gazebo alongside the river in Harrison Mills, BC. He got down on one knee, pulled a ring out of his pocket, asked the best question Jessica had ever heard and she replied with, “Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!”. We have always loved rainy days!

Favourite thing about each other?
Ryan’s favourite thing about Jessica is the way she makes him laugh and can lighten his mood in an instant.
Jessica’s favourite thing about Ryan is how passionate he is about so many things in life.

If you could give one word to describe each other what would that word be?
Ryan about Jessica: Radiant
Jessica about Ryan: Wild

Your idea of a perfect date?
Ryan & Jessica: A meal at our favourite spot in Historic Langley, then home to watch a movie with our meows.

What are you looking forward to the most on your wedding day?
Ryan: Seeing her in her dress, watching her come down the aisle, looking amazing with a big smile on her face.
Jessica: Seeing him at the end of the aisle with that smile he gets, ready to start the rest of our lives together.
