When is the big day?

Saturday, August 30th, 2014 (Labor Day long Weekend)

How did you meet?

We met at Wendy’s in 2006. Angie was working the front cash, and Matt came in for an interview and got the job. She fell in love at first sight (even stalked him few times), and eventually at a work party, with the help of some tequila, we started dating.

When you met what was the first thing you noticed about him/her?

Angie: His blonde hair, blue eyes, and sexy voice.
Matt: Her sexy body, and fun and loving attitude for everything!

How did he Propose?

On March 2nd, 2013, on a cold, snowy, windy day, after Matt had “helped his friend move furniture”, he asked Angie to walk Kenny (their Maltepoo pup) with him before going to a Calgary Roughnecks game. They walked to Confederation Park and sat on a bench. While enjoying the cold weather and the company of their silly dog, Matt kneeled and asked Angie to marry him. She said YES! Kenny barked of happiness (or at other dogs, however you wanna put it). While walking home, Matt told her that he was not helping his friend, but he went to her parents’ home and asked for her parents’ blessing. Carlos was playing with a rubber band at that time, and he flipped it up towards the ceiling from the excitement. They hugged, and just like the Godfather, they gave us their blessing.

What do you love about each other?

Angie: how kind he is with people, specially with my family. He always helps others no questions asked. How goofy he is around me and always finds a way to make me laugh =).
Matt: She loves me and supports me through everything! She is the most caring and compassionate woman. A true role model.

Favourite hangout?

Our couch and bedroom.

Favourite thing to do together?

Watch tv shows like Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones, 24, Felicity, Parks and Rec, Community, etc; go for adventurous car rides, camping, walk our pups, chillax, dance, party with friends.

What are you looking forward to the most on your big day?

Angie: walking down the aisle and seeing him for the first time. As well, dance all night with family and friends!
Matt: Seeing her walk out on to the aisle looking beautiful! I can’t wait to see her huge smile 🙂
