We had a lovely evening walking around the Reader’s Garden Cafe. We started with the sun shinning to lightening and thunder only to end up with the sun shining again. It’s not hard to tell that these two are in love. They laugh together and play together and we can’t wait until  their wedding day! Here are a few love words from our amazing couple.

How did you meet?

Her:  We met as summer law students in Calgary.  I was attending law school at the University of Alberta, and Jared was a law student at the University of Toronto.  We struck up a friendship and soon after, became a couple.  We dated long distance while we both finished law school and are now both lawyers working in Calgary! 

Him:  I met Ciara for the first time in a law firm boardroom in Calgary.  We were both summering with the firm during the summer break from law school. I grew up in Beaumont, Alberta, and it was my first time living in Calgary.  Ciara and I quickly became best friends and it turned out to be the best summer of my life.

When you first met, what did you notice first?

Her:  The first time Jared and I spoke, I was completely drawn to his open and happy personality.  He has the most wonderful smile and genuine laugh.

Him: Ciara looks hot in a suit.

How did he propose?

Her:  We were on vacation in Vegas.  Jared told me he had planned a special day for us – he took me out for a beautiful dinner at the Picasso restaurant in the Bellagio, followed by a performance of O by Cirque de Soleil.  Just when I thought the night was over, we came back to our room covered in rose petals.  Before I knew it, Jared was on one knee with a ring in his hand! 

Him:  We went for a great date night in Vegas.  The ring was burning a hole in my jacket pocket the whole night.  Thankfully, she didn’t notice how I kept checking to make sure it was still there!  While we were at dinner and the show, I had the concierge set up our room for the proposal.  I had no idea what to expect when we opened the door.  The setup was great and she said yes!

Favorite thing about each other?

Her:  His eyes – and the way he looks at me.

Him: Her smile.

If you could give one word to describe each other what would that word be?

Her: Everything.

Him: Forever.

Your idea of a perfect date:

Her:  Sushi and wine for dinner, followed by a relaxing movie night on the couch.  

Him: Shopping for fresh ingredients and cooking a delicious meal together (with plenty of wine of course!)

What are you looking forward to the most on your wedding day?

Her:  Hearing Jared say I do.

Him: Seeing Ciara walk towards me in her wedding dress.
