Michaela & Johns Wedding: Love, Lougheed House & A Game Of Chess!

I will start off with saying this was a beautiful day!  Michaela & John’s wedding took place at the Lougheed House. I love shooting at this beautiful location as there are so many nooks and crannies to photograph in. I will never be bored of this enchanted jewel! For me this ceremony has a warm place in my heart. It was held outside and it was one of the most beautiful, genuine ceremonies I have seen in a long time. Michaela was so emotional she had a hard time reading her personal vows to John. The tears were flowing including mine. You see Michaela is usually not a very emotional person but as soon as she started to walk towards John there was no holding back. It was beautiful and it’s these moments that remind  me why I love to do what I do for a living.

We decided to have fun and personalize the formals. John is an avid chess player so Mike and I brought our patio set and picked up a beautiful chess set. They loved it and we love the photographs it produced. If there is any way that we can add our couples personality into the shoot we will. It tells a story and makes for amazing photography. Thank you Michaela & John. The day was beautiful. You two are beautiful and we feel very fortunate to be a part of your big day. Lots of love – Shawna & Mike
