– When is the big day?

– How did you Meet?
Coltin and I have been together for three and a half years. It feels like only yesterday when we first met. We met in the nerdiest way possible… in our second year Engineering class at the University of Calgary. But before that, we met without even realizing it. In first year in our ENGG 201 lab, me being me, I got kicked out of my lab group for talking too much and was placed in quiet, shy, nerdy Coltin’s group. Little did we know that this brief encounter would turn into an engagement just two years after.
In second year engineering, Coltin and I were in the same calculus class. On the first day, looking around the classroom, the only person I recognized was Coltin. It was the same for him, and we started talking to each other right away. Coltin being smooth opened with asking my about my skydiving trip the previous summer. Little did he know this only showed he creeped on my Facebook pictures ;). Day after day, we talked and talked, getting to know each other. Coltin changed his seat to sit next to me, would wait for me to come to school in the mornings, and even walked me to the train (and took the train with me then back to school alone once) at the end of the day. To think…I didn’t even think he liked me!
Then one day, I open my locker to find an envelope with my name on it. I opened it and read a sweet little letter saying he likes me. I look up and see Coltin standing there smiling 🙂 But me being hard to get, my response was “I don’t hate you” just to test if he really did like me. Hehe. As it turns out, he did. He kept chasing me and one day I finally let him catch me and its been nothing but happiness ever since!

– When you first met what did you notice first?

First, I noticed how smart he is..he is really super smart! Then I thought how he is sooo handsome too. He would say he noticed my smile.

– How did he propose?

The movie theatre!! He rented an entire theatre and paid for all the seats to watch Safe Haven movie and filled it with 600 candles. I walked in saying awee such a nice theatre they have candles everywhere at the entrance then I saw the Marry Me with all the candles and started crying. After I said yes, we watched the movie alone in that theatre then went home and told everyone.

– Favourite thing about each other?

I love how he cares so much about me and knows if I am a bit sad or grumpy or anything, he just knows all the time. I love how I am always first in his life. I know his favourite thing about me is my big heart and that I am always there to help anyone even if they hurt me.

– If you could give one word to describe each other what would that word be?

Captivating

– Your idea of a perfect date?

Perfect date would be go walk somewhere (like a park, or even at the mall) , then a dinner at a restaurant then movie.

– What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?

His reaction when he sees me at the church and saying our vows to each other. same to him (that was what he was looking forward to. seeing me in wedding dress first time and our vows).
