These gorgeous creatures are Ade & Richie!! We spent the afternoon with them in Canmore and it was a perfect day! Mike and I had them hop in our car so that we could go to a few locations and we both really enjoyed chatting and spending time with them. It was very clear to us they are head over hells in love with each other. There is an enormous amount of respect between them and it’s so cute to watch Richie make a point to keep his sweetheart in smiles. They are genuinely the sweetest people ever and we are really looking forward to their wedding. Here are a few words from the GQ JOHNSON couple!!

When is the big day?

How did you meet?

Ade/ Bukie: We met at the hospital a mutual friend introduced us. Our friend (James) told me that he knew my brother my way of thinking if you are cool with my brother then you must be a good person……..it turned out to be true.

Richie: We met at work while working in the same department at the hospital. I thought she was beautiful from the 1st time I’ve ever seen her.

When you met what was the first thing you noticed about him/her?

Ade/ Bukie: There was not just one thing there were two first, his height I love it, a tall glass of water, and I love looking up to him. Second his style I love fashion so a man that has personal style is a win win.

Richie: It will DEFINITELY have to be the body in the infamous red dress!

How did he Propose?

Ade/Bukie: It was a weird strange day we went to Canmore for the weekend and Richie was acting really funny he kept on repeating what a special day it was (November 11). I just thought it was special for him since his favorite number is 11. So we drive back from Canmore and relax when we get home. All of sudden around 10:30pm Richie is like lets go walk the dog. In my head I’m thinking no: it’s cold, it’s late, I have to work in the morning, I just want to go to bed. However he convinced me to go and we went to a dog park by our house, so we are walking the dog and he keeps on saying what a special day it is. We get to the top of the hill which has a great view of downtown plus the sky was beautiful the moon was shining and the stars were bright. Richie asks me to sit on the bench and I made a big deal about not wanting to sit on the bench because it was cold, there was snow ( I was being a little diva). He finally yelled and said just SIT DOWN!!! Which I did. So we are just talking and laughing when he turns to me and says you know I love you very much he gets down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
My first response was when did you get this?!! Makes me laugh till this day I think I was in shock. I said YES and we kissed under the moonlight. To top it off he proposed at 11:11pm. So now I can truly say November 11 is a special day.

What do you love about each other?

Ade/ Bukie: There are too many things that I love about my man. He has strong morals and values which has shaped him into the man he is today. The love he has for his family is untouchable this same love he has extended to my family. He challenges my mind every day and pushes me to achieve my goals. Richie has the best sense of humor there is never a dull moment in our house he is a true jokester. Finally he is my best friend.

Richie: The thing that I love about Bukie that stands out the most is the fact that we are for the most part always on the same page. Sometimes I think she can read my mind. She tends to always say what I am thinking in certain situations.

Favourite hangout?

Ade/Bukie: When we take Spartacus for walks because we have the best conversations.

Richie: I would say our favourite hangout is at her brother’s house. Always have fun there. Nothing like fun with the family.

Favourite thing to do together?

Bukie: Cooking and travelling the world together creating everlasting memories.

Richie: I would have to say I love to cook with Bukie. Also we love travelling together.

What are you looking forward to the most on your big day?

Ade/Bukie: To declare my love and devotion to Richie Johnson in front of our friends and family, followed by a fabulous party after.

Richie: There are 2 things that I look forward to. 1st I can’t wait to share this day with friends and family. 2nd I look forward to making Bukie’s new last name change to JOHNSON 
